why is there a 'month' for 'mixed race' ????

I'm guessing there's a month for mixed race as mixed race people are a minority and it is sometimes nice as a minority to celebrate your difference and feel connected to others similar to yourself.

Yes I think its a bit like black history month?

However I have not seen any celebrations so to speak. On another forum for mixed race people they have been talking about getting cameras and asking mixed race people what they think of their lives.

DS is mixed race all year round, so I'm not sure we'll do anything different just for May, to be honest.
