Any other mums/established groups for mixed race families?

Hello there everyone, I happened on an old thread for mixed race familes that seems to have started in 2007. It was revived in 2008, and i'm wondering if anyone from that original thread is still reading postings on mumsnet?
Or if you are reading this and don't know any other mums with mised race families, it would be good to meet up.
I'm based in-between rusholme, moss side and fallowfield. Would love to meet other mums.
I'm black, my dh is white and our boys are 22mths and 4mths.
Hope to hear from you soon. I'm going to join facebook as that seems to be where everyone I know is nowadays!

I feel the same as you Sunflower, I would love to meet other mum's in my area (Croydon)who have mixed race families, I haven't seen any groups and as I have no immediate family (my parents were West Indian) my LO will not come into any direct contact with anyone but me from my culture.

Hi I've just started a yahoo group called parents of mixed race social group its brand new we are going to have events and days out etc and its a place to discuss anything and everything. Please do join and let everyone know and we can start arranging meetups.

I have no idea if I was on the original thread or not, (memory of a goldfish!) but I am white married to an Indian hubby and we have twin boys. I'd love to chat to others in smiliar situations.

Hi I have started a social group for mixed race kids and their parents if you look on the charities part of this site.

We are hoping to hold regular events and get togethers we aare based in londn but can travel :0)

Feel free to join the more people that join the sooner we can start getting together!

Gosh I could write a book myself about not getting help to combine work, family and childcare!!
