Ive been a member on here a few months now, but never thought to ask if any members have any connections with Turkey!

DH is Turkish and we have been married nearly 4 years. We met in Marmaris and married in Istanbul 5 months after meeting!

We have a 9 month old DS and baby number 2 on the way.

Anyway, would love to chat to any of you out there!

Hi chinchi, Im not on MN every night but I thought I'd reply. My husband is Turkish - Im asian. We have a 2 year old and a 5 month old and have also been married for nearly 4 years... though we met a very long time ago and then met again 5 years ago.

chinchi · 31/05/2008 10:39

Lovely to hear from you Vannah

Are you living overseas or here in UK? We lived in Turkey for 3 years, but came back Dec 2006 to look after my Mum who had breast cancer. Unfortunately she passed away, so we do hope to go back to Turkey sometime soon!

Hi- I am the one Littlefish mentioned. I am Turkish, and my husband is Scottish. We have 2 daughters, 3.5 and 5. We live in the Midlands and I know of no Turkish people in the area!

vannah · 10/06/2008 21:11

Oh dear. completely forgot about this thread!
Living in London, I was born and brought up here - DH abroad but been here for many years.

Sorry to hear about your mum chinchi. I know a few women who have died having had breast cancer, its so sad.
Where are you living right now?

Mixedmama, that IS interesting - we could certainly swap some inside info on one another's cultures. I'd be curious to know how you find being married to an asian,
whereabouts in London are you? Im in N8...

Hi turkishdeelite!
