Hi. I'm a Chinese mum from Hong Kong, although I've lived in the UK for the past 23 years. My DS is 3 1/2. Just want to know if there are other Chinese mums near me.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi Snowmoon,
I don't live in Norfolk, but in Cambs near Huntingdon. I have a DD 2yr and 3mths and 15 weeks pregnant with my second. Where abouts do you live exactly?

snowmoon · 29/01/2008 20:46

Hi teacakes. I'm in a village near Diss. I have just looked it up in multimap and we are 2 hours apart.

Hey SnowMoon - I'm not chinese but I do live near you ;) Eye eye, if you know what I mean, and my daughter is 1/2 filipeano (I really should learn to spell it properly though)

Hi EmilyandLola (I assume you're Emily?). Thanks for your message. Eye Eye, I do know what you mean There's a nice Chinese restaurant there. How old is your daughter? I assume from your message that your partner is Filipino (apologies if I've got it wrong)? My partner is English so DS is half English half Chinese. I don't have family in the UK and my friends are not in Norfolk, so I'm looking to make some new friends.

hi Snowmoon I'm guessing I must live quite close to you as I too live in a village (Weybread) near Diss. I'm Chinese (born and bred in Manchester) and have a son 8 mnths old. We've been here over a year now so the area is still new to me. maybe we could meet up for coffee sometime?

snowmoon · 07/02/2008 21:54

Hi salliken. I've just looked up Weybread and yes we're close. Would love to meet up for coffee sometime. Send me a private message and I'll give you my email. What brought you to Norfolk?

Mmmm, I'm not sure if it's possible to send private messages on mumsnet. Not sure how we can contact each other without revealing private info. Anyone any idea? Thanks.

If you want to CAT each other, there is a fee of £5 to use the service. Or you can type you email in the thread which is what I normally do.

By the way, I'm a BBC living in Hertfordshire. Happy New Year.
