DD wants to write cards to two boys in her class whose names are unfamiliar to me. I'd like to get the spelling right. (Having grown up with a surname that was NEVER spelled right, I have become neurotic!)

The names sound like Fahdeem (which I'm guessing is arabic) and Ezeldeen (dad is Egyptian). Is that spelling anywhere near right?!

They don't give out class lists (for reasons I don't understand) - hence the question.

But for some unknown reason it didn't occur to me to ask She Who Knows Everything in the office. Thank you for stating the obvious and sorry to bother you !!

If your dd is anything like mine, the children are probably called Farid and Nourredine. I have been in similar dilemmas.
