dh is a believing jewish convert, i was brought up as quite an active churchgoer and sometimes a Christian (long story) and we are bringing up ds as a jewish boy, although he won't be officially jewish until I have finished a course and gone in front of the rabbinical court.

so we go to synagogue a fair bit, and celebrate the main Jewish festivals, plus Christmas, Easter and others, plus we light candles on Friday night for ds at 10 months and ourselves, say Hebrew blessings and i sing him to sleep with the Shema. also we have a mezuzah, Seder plate etc etc up on the walls. ds will go to religion school on Sundays when he is older but won't force him for ever. i definitely want him to become bar mitzvah.

The thing about this for me is it allows me not to have to worry about the various bits of Christian theology i struggle with, while having a community to be active in and a God to pray to.
