DH is from Gambia and we have recently moved to Greenford from Peckham to be nearer my family (I am white British). Would love to meet any other Gambian mums/ dads and their partners who are in West London. We have a six month old dd.

Hiya,

Just saw this (well, from a mention on the nigerian thread).

I am born british, but was raised in the Gambia with Gambian parents, so consider myself Gambian. However, I don't live in west London.

Gambia is a small country with a population of about 1.5m, so its rare to stumble upon another Gambian, let alone meet one on a site like this.

Just wanted to reply to your message...

hi Creole, lovely to hear there is someone else in the Gambian community as it were, on mumsnet. I will look out for you! I tend to forget that there are actually not that many Gambians in the UK- we used to live in South London where there are a lot of Gambians and other West Africans and my dh seems to know most of them!
