Hi, New to Mumsnet!
Just wondering if anyone has moved from London to Kent? If so how did you get on?
Thanx

We moved from Maida Vale to rural East Sussex but we're v. close to the Kent border. It's been great from a 'having children' perspective. Crowborough Birthing Unit rocks, the primary schools are excellent and there isn't the same mad scramble for places as in London. The West Kent grammar schools are excellent, if that's your bag.

I miss my hairdresser, theatre, Bond St shopping and proper taxis. But Kent is hardly off-the-map.

I didn't have to adjust to countrylife because I'd only been pretending to be a townie for 10 years or so!
