Media requests need to go through this page www.mumsnet.com/Talk/media_nonmember_requests, and student research stuff usually gets posted here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/surveys_students_non_profits_and_start_ups. If you're hoping to arrange to meet up for cultural / language exchange, that should be fine here (but take the usual precautions when meeting anyone in RL...)
