Apparently the site's creator had phone calls from racists, saying they were going to find him and kill him. You know, because the site has pictures of white and black people sitting together drinking wine!

I like the hair references. A friend in school really got sick of people wanting to touch her hair.

You're probably right, about people not seeing the problem.

My least-favourite not-racist thing to say is "I'm not racist but ". It's the Official Racist Canadian statement. In some ways, I prefer (some) Americans, who at least realise they're racist, even if they're ok with it.

Brilliant. At some points it gave me that nasty, sickening thud of self-recognition - but that's the point of the site.

that site is so clever and funny. I think it is a shame that so many people just aren't 'getting' it.

After saying a multisyllabic word such as "understand," Johnny will often follow it with a translation for my benefit like "Dig?" I am glad that he makes his big words accessible to me.
