and do you actually make anything?

I would love to find a product that I could get hold of cheaply and sell on for a profit

Suppose lots of people would lol

I don't personally but know of people who trawl throuh charity shops and sell designer clothes, baby clothes, toys that collectors want. Apparently there is a lot of money to be made but I can't be bothered with all the weighing and pricing etc

twirlaround · 18/08/2005 20:48

Try dust or something else low cost. Folk buy everything even carrier bags. Not sperm anymore though...

I sale clarks kids shoes which i get from second hand shops and boot sales, Football shirts, jeans and baby items. Somtimes i make money, somtimes i dont, but its fun trying!

fqueenzebra · 18/08/2005 20:53

don't make profit, but have often at least covered my costs.

I have some clark's shoes & a swim nappy to sell (for preschool). Bought a Tippitoes door bouncer, tried it (ds2 didn't like it) sold again for same price.... so at least I got to try it for free. Flogged some dvd's for around £5-£7 each that dh originally bought from a workmate for £1 each.

charliecat · 18/08/2005 20:54

I saw it selling for loads over to the US and am so skint ATM I thought I would gamble and buy 3. 2 to sell and 1 for my dds, hoping to sell the 2 and get the 3rd free...fingers crossed.

Lonelymum · 18/08/2005 20:54

Hey charliecat, it doesn't bother me - I like to have a look. Just saw someone else get slapped wrists for doing it recently.

vickiyumyum · 18/08/2005 21:12

i don't sell other peoples stuff, only what i am clearing out. so clothes mainly kids ones, buggies, a few cds, dvds, and some ornaments.

don't make a great deal but enough to feed my ebay buying habit!

pipsqueak · 06/11/2005 16:30

Does anyone know if you can use a mobile phone to take the photos needed to sell on e bay ? Don't ahve a digital camera but would like to sell some things . I 'm not sure if teh picture quality etc would be good enough. any advice on the technical side of selling welcome as I am a bit clueless!

vickiyumyum · 06/11/2005 16:49

think you can if you have blue tooth on your phone and computer or if you have anokia camera phone they often have the memory cards in them that you can just slot into your computer.

LRKIDS · 06/11/2005 16:57

pipsqueak I had some really good pics on my mobile but couldn't do anything with them until I sent them to my own email address and then I could print them off. Don't know whether the quality is good enough to show stuff on ebay though.

pipsqueak · 06/11/2005 23:23

thanks lrkids and vickyumyum. i'll give it a go.

perfumelady · 07/11/2005 00:23

if you have a phone with a memory card and lead that connects to the compter then you can just plug in lead and download direct to your computer and the photos can sometimes be really clear depends on phone. could you not borrow a camera from a friend or family member? it really is quite easy to get photos from camera to pc. i sell perfume and after shave, damaged box stock that is returned from high street supermarkets. 69son
