URGENT advice needed - being made redundant - what will I be entitled to?

The company I work for is going bust and either they make me redundant/I resign and have a fighting chance of survival, or it winds up now.

I do have other jobs that make me roughly £105 per week.

I am a single parent and have no help from xp for mortgage or DD.

Can anyone tell me what I might be entitled to, benefit-wise?? I am terrified we are going to lose our home because of this.

Thanks for any advice.

Speak to citizens advise and then possibly to your mortgage provider before you get behind in your payments. I don't know if you can, but you might be able to take a mortgage holiday until you find another job.

If you resign, you would no longer be entitled to redundancy pay, so don't. Wait for them to make you redundant.

Redundancy pay is based on your age, your salary and length of service with your employer, but the statutory amount is not much.

If the employer is insolvent and can't pay the redundancy pay, I believe you can claim for this from the State.

As misty says, speak to your mortgage lender now so they are aware of the situation.
