I think its hard for me to get a credit card as I have not had alot of credit.

I have got a bit of bad credit, like an unpaid mobile phone bill, but nothing major.

Are there any credit cards that are easier to get?

Capital One have a card designed for people with a low credit rating who need to build it up. Should be fairly easy to get as it's designed for people in your situation.

Typical APR is high at 34.9% though so wouldn't keep a high balance on this one, I would use it for a few months, pay off in full each time, then apply for a card with a lower APR.

I would go with a debit card rather than a credit card if you have a history of bad credit. The only real advantage of a credit card is that you can delay payment and build up a balance, but then you get slapped with huge interest charges

A simple debit card means you can buy things online or over the phone and don't have to use cash all the time..... but the payment is direct from your account making it easier to keep track. Keeping your bank account in the black is also a good way to boost your credit rating.

Capital One - they gave my husband one despite a bankruptcy in 1998 (which is now spent) If you are just wanting day to day goods the very catalogue is excellent but you have to be a bit choosy about what you get as some things are priced silly
