Purchased an item last week at a lower price than now advertised on their website but still need to make a final payment, help!

Sorry long title but I want reassuring!

I made a purchase at the beginning of last week (or end of week before I can't quite remember!). I paid £369 and the guy on the phone said it was £649 total. Which it was on the website at the time. So, does that price stand as it was that price when I ordered. I still have the final £280 to pay which the guy on the phone said was fine. Once I make the final payment my item will be shipped.

The item on their website has now gone up to £769 and am worried that they are going to ask for a £400 final payment to include the price rise. Surely if I purchased at the time it was £649 then this should be on my order paperwork that they no doubt hold?

Advice please!

They should stick to their original price as your contract was to pay the £649. If they get stroppy (I dont trust anyone) withold your final payment and demand your first one back or you will contact their ruling body. Did you get an email/snail mail confirmation. If so print out and keep.

Hi, Thanks for your response. I phoned them to double check and they said it was the original price I would pay.
