Will I still get my Child Trust Fund Money if my application is in the system?

My DS was born last July but am, lazy, disorganised/rubbish at form filling and only got round to claiming for my Child Trust Fund at the end of April. The birth certificate has been returned so I know they have my application. With the election looming I am scared on a large scale by the prospect of a Tory govt but also worried on a mini scale that my DS will miss out on his trust fund that he could have had if his mummy wasn't such a birdbrain and pulled her finger out earlier. The GUILT! Does anyone know if I'll still get it if bloody Cameron gets in or can they just cut it dead like that?

They can't just stop them like that, there will have to be a decision in parliament, notice etc.

Also if they do stop it it's likely to be stopped for children born after a certain date - so your children are likely to be still eligible
