child tax credits

DD will be one on 26th April and they have reduced our tax credits already, is that right?

Also, does anyone know how they actually work? I have the various allowances but how do they relate that to your income?

yes you get an enhanced rate for the first under one in a family (rubbish if you have a multiple birth) You will renew your tax credits soon too so if your income is vastly different to last year your money will go up or down accordingly

I am confused as anything about TC. I tried calling them tonight, and a recorded voice kept telling me they were busy and cutting me off.

It's so complicated. Nightmare
