Does anyone know if it's possible to move sideways and keep same mortgage?

I was wondering if it might be possible for us to move house but keep our existing mortgage, assuming the two places cost the same amount of money?

TIA

Depends on your terms , some are portable many are not.

I think it depends on your mortgage provider. We are with Halifax and it def states that you can move your mortgage with you if you move house.

We just 'ported' our excellent deal with the Woolwich, and added slightly to it with a top up extra bit. But it will depend on the T&C's of the one you have.
