Does anyone know anything about mortgages here?

I'm just enquiring on behalf of my brother. He is a first time buyer and wants to go on a shared ownership kind of thing. he has seen a house and the mortgage part of it would be around 80k. Does anyone have an idea of approximately he would be looking paying per month on a mortgage of this size?

I used to work at a bank a few years ago on the mortgage side. Going back then, a mortgage of that amount would be about £350-£400 depending on interest rate/term.
