It needs to be accessible at the postoffice (to pay in or withdraw cash)
It needs to be accessible by phone or on-line
It needs to have a cashcard & ideally a debit card

DD is 12 & just closed her abbey bank book because she wanted a card......we opened a natwest (but it's useless - see another thread )

Not Tesco, not natwest, not smile (at least not as far as I can see)

Many thanks for any help

I work for Santander (was Abbey) you can have cash card with online banking with them but not sure you can access via post office

oh and the card would be electron so is a debit card (although not all shops accept electron)

Thanks - I rang up & it can't be used over the counter in the PO - but I appreciate you mentioning it

She can walk to the PO (which has an over the counter withdrawal bit & a cash machine - but the cash machine costs too much money to withdraw ) - the next closest cash machine is 15 miles away

LloydsTSB have an account, think it is called Under19s, with debitcard, online banking etc. You can use other Lloyds debitcards at the post office (free) so would be worth checking if the same applies with card on the youth account. HTH.

Rather sweetly the LloydsTSB lady didn't know
