Obviously I'm an idiot. Will I still be able to pay it in?

yes it's fine

Thanks

(Even though it's completely covered - 7-item shopping list, four-item to-do list and two mobile phone numbers?)

i used to be a bank manager and i'd have accepted it! all the info is on the front so as long as that's legible you're fine. only problem you may have is that when the chq goes through clearing it gets stamped on the back with info relating to where it credits. so if it were to get lost you may not be able to read the back of it (the bank make electronic copies of the fronts and backs of all chqs in case of any problem).

that's the sort of thing I would do! Hopefully nothing too embarrassing on your lists?

holidaywonk · 03/01/2010 11:28

List is full of continence-ware and sex toys, obviously

Thanks Norah. I'll take it to the counter and wave it at the lady and see what she says.

you could stick one of those big white freezer labels across the back just in case?

Oh that's a good idea. Acksherly I do have some Tipp-Ex somewhere.
