ebay - seller taking the piss

I won and paid for a gogo hamster last Thurs. Paid through paypal, receipt came through. Seller has emailed me today to say that they are waiting for the payment to clear. They are taking the piss I think - it should have cleared that day. Now I'm not likely to get the bleeding thing before xmas. Should I reverse the paypal transaction?

are you sure you haven't paid by paypal cheque they take AGES to clear

Sounds like you've paid by echeque...they take ten days to clear with the seller

I have heard that paypal are not releasing the money to the seller until they have positive feedback or X days have passed without a dispute.

You need to check if this is the case - if so, to get the money she needs to send the item and you leave + feedback.

I have received money through paypal for an item paid for on Friday which hadn't been sent yet.

Some items on ebay are classified so that the funds aren't released to the seller until the item has been received by the buyer and positive feedback left. The paypal payment shows as 'on hold' I recall; check with the seller that this isn't the case.

I think this is mainly for phones and electronic items where people have been ripped off quite a lot.

Ask them exactly why they don't have the funds yet.
