Have been getting a few quotes but they are all more than I was expecting to pay.

Anyone mind telling me how much a month they pay ??

I can't remember the exact figure but it's about £11 per month via Direct Debit. It depends on what kind of cover you need/want though. We have basic cover with added legal cover. We also don't have much expensive equipment so the amount of cover needed is probably smaller than most people's.

£7 a month

ours is £19 a month, but includes cover for specific items.

janinlondon · 20/06/2005 11:25

About £40 a month - but that includes building contents too. How much have you valued your contents at?

nutcracker · 20/06/2005 11:26

Have manged to get the quote down to £127.00 a year with Churchill and that is for £40000 of cover and accidental cover too.

I can't see if it is new for old though, or are they all that now ???

Actually the contents are probably worth less than that, how do i work it out ??

It's down to £11.07 a month. All the other quotes were about £20 - £23

I am with the Halifax. Really good quote and unlimited cover. Also have the lost keys service as well

coppertop · 20/06/2005 11:30

They usually advise you to work out how much it would cost to replace everything if it was all lost/stolen. You may also need to list anything that would cost over a certain amount to replace, eg a new computer if yours was stolen, expensive stereo etc.

coppertop · 20/06/2005 11:31

No. Legal cover was an extra. I think it costs about £15 a year.

Thanks
