Am currently switching mortgage and want to switch current account - will it affect my credit rating if both companies do a search around the same time?

Could you switch Mortgage first then switch current account a few days after just to be on the safe side?

No it shouldn't matter especially if you have not had any other searches recently.

They only get suspicious when you have lots of lots of searches ie it looks like you are being refused credit time after time.

Should be fine. I would go for it. Nothing suspicious in changing mortgage and current account at same time.

Is your credit rating good? If so no problem.
