Does anyone know anything about ISA rules?

I had money in an IASA account that I needed to take out. I've just discovered that the lady in the bank has taken the money out of my ISA, not the overflow IASA account that she was supposed to.

I'm not going to be able to put that money back into the ISA am I? I have the money sitting in the other account that I want to transfer into my ISA but I don't think they're going to let me do it.
Am I right in thinking that you can't take money out of an ISA then replace it within the same tax year?

Hi, quick update. I popped into the bank on Monday and explained to the lady on the information desk what had happened and she was very apologetic and said it was no problem and they would sort it out. They have to contact the tax department but it would be done and I won't lose any interest.
I checked my bank account today and the money has been transferred back.

The lady was very apologetic and the way she spoke it sounds as though it happens sometimes as she wasn't at all surprised.
