Tax Credits - how do you complain?

Our tax credits have been completely ballsed up by the people on the other end of the phone.

Everytime I phone them to get it sorted I get a new awards notice out with a different amount on it. We have been overpaid by A LOT and I want to get it sorted and to give it back, but I'm getting nowhere.

Does anyone know how to complain and who to?

Would really appreciate and advice, I'm worried sick and getting nowhere.

Couldn't quite beleive it myself, until yest afternoon when I went to take a mere 10pound out of my account that is my money of course. I haven't slept for the past 2nights because of the stupid money. I wish they would just have taken the money straight back out the account, but they tend not to do this for some reason. Many many of my freinds have had cock ups with them but have never had their accounts frozen. Well better get ready for this app at the bank and will post later in afternoon when dd has a sleep!

And good luck today Kid! Please let us know how you get on. This is all very unencouraging.................

Kids
That is truly unbelievable! I'd get onto the adjudicators straightaway.

Yes, the IR is one of the few bodies that has the power to freeze a person's account. They can also seize assets.

But for tax credits? FFS!

Keep us posted!

Ok heres what happened, Yest after I had been on the phone to taxcred they had contacted head office at Alliance&Liecter to check which account they had paid the money to but had not froze my account, and my bank because of recent activity and this so called call had blocked any money to come out of my account. However at my app this morning they called head office to sort my account to allow me to take my money out. Then they opened a savings account and finally the money transferred to an interest account. But wait for it..... Tax credit had paid more money into my account yest. I could scream AAhhhhhh there I've done it! So now I need to work out roughly how much to take off the further payment as I am entitled to some of it but certainly not it all.

Here is the amounts they have BT into my account over a few days, 918.00, 129.00, 80.00, 50.00. Its so unbelievable!

Thanks goodness that you could get some money! They are so stupid. They did similar to use - over 5 days we had £1500, £1000, £50 and then a lot of small amounts! If it made sense and you could see their mistake then it wouldnt be so bad! It is just so confusing and makes no sense at all!
And to keep paying you even after you tell them what has happened!
