You can get a copy from landregistry.org for £3, plus another £3 for a pdf of the map with your house marked on it.

Is this what you wanted?

Thanks, it's mainly the garden boundaries I need, but will try out the site you suggested, thanks

As deeds are now electronic, it doesn't matter who holds them. Even if the bank has a mortgage charge over the property, I think you can have the deeds yourself anyway as they are pretty valueless? (Not sure, can't quite remember all the facts and have no idea if our mortgage co or us have the deeds to our house)

That site jsut appears to cover England and Wales.

Last month we got our deeds from our building society we had paid off the mortgage years ago. They charged us £50 don't know whether that is the normal fee or not. They told us that you don't need them now as everything is electronic at the Land Registry. Anyhow, we found them very interesting shows all the boundaries etc. and the owners of the house since it was built in 1957.

Last time I needed a copy, I called the solicitors who dealt with the conveyancing, they sent me a photocopy for free.......
