Hi
We applied for the Childrens Tax Credit for 2001 - 2002 born children, do you remember, the one that nobody claimed. Anyway, we sent in our forms just before the deadline - Jamuary sometime and we still havent heard anything. Phoned tax office and they just said that they will email the people dealing with it.
Has anyone applied for this?
What was your experience of it?
Do you think i will actually ever get anything - i dont seem to be able to trace my application at all

Typical HMRC.

If you resend it, even though it's a fter the deadline, with a copy of the originally dated letter I think they will pay up.

Sorry - should have added - tell them in new covering letter that they have lost the first one.

I did not send it. They sent me a letter saying they had investigated payments in 2001 and 2002 and found I had been paid too little, and they were adding it to my weekly figure without any input from us at all.

Oh no - i dont have a copy of the stuff i sent off!
Does that mean i am done for?
