Darren still not back at work, but im due back after easter holidays.
I have a DLA form here but is huge. Called macmilllin to help but no local help and i called my nearest (20 miles) and they said they cant help as im not in their area Told me to go to CAB, but they dont know the ins and outs of cancer like macmillian would is there anything else i can claim? Never been on benifits, and cant think straight either. TIA

I had help with my dla form, it was a nice lady from social services, it was hard to find the right person though. I am sure someone helpful will be along with the right advice, sorry you're going thru this x

Have you tried cancer backup? They have website and helpline. Didn't use them for financial advice myself but they were good for other sources of info. Might be worth a try and if they can't help themselves may be able to point you in the right direction.

this page might help to start

Wishing you all the very best.

Have you tried the Macmillam Benefits Helpline here? Shouldn't matter where you live.

If you ask when DH is in for chemo, there will be a hospital social worker who can help you with accessing benefits - just ask one of the oncology nurses
