When do switch payments come out of your account ?

Depends. It can be the same day. NEVER make one without funds.

I thought a cheque in my account cleared tom but it doesn't clear until Thurs and had to pay for car repair bill today.

So too late guess just have to hope it doesn't process until Thurs either!

You could speak to your bank and ask about an overdraft/extention to cover you until the cheque clears.

It can be up to 90 days. I queried a payment in December from a petrol station I'd visited in October, and was told that it can take up to 90 days.

I always thought it was instant.

Is it down to the bank or the company you make the purchase then ?
