does anyone know can my mum get any housing benefit when on state pension?

its a long story, but through no fault of her own (idiot of a soon to be ex husband) she will have nowhere to live when she retires from her current job at 68. She gets a state pension (with an extra earnings related part). Just trying to work out what her options are if it comes to it. ??

If it's any help my mum gets a state pension plus her rent paid by housing benefit.

Would it help to look at the Entitled To website?

If her State Pension plus any other weekly income (private pension etc) is less than £130 a week, she will be entitled to Pension Credit (it's Income Support basically), Housing Benefit and full Council Tax reduction.

She can ring 0800 99 1234 to apply for the Pension Credit - they will be able to give her lots more advice too. (I work for The Pension Service, in case you are wondering!)
