Can I change tax credit payments?

Currently we receive our working and child tax credits 4 weekly but I want to change them to weekly. I am on maternity leave but am still classed as working full time and DH is a SAHD. Does anyone know if it is possible to change payment frequency?

TIA

That's a really good point - think it says on the forms that it is possible if one is a single parent.

Could you call the Working Tax Credit hotline number and ask? If they say it isn't possible, could you shout 'sex discrimination' down the phone line?

Is it only single parents that can get paid weekly? Surely if it only single parents that can get paid weekly then they not discriminating(sp?) against sex if they say no to a married couple wanting paid weekly even if it is the DH that is SAHP!

i get paid weekly and I'm not a single parent. We've always been paid weekly. Not sure if it has anything to do with DH always having been on a low wage.

Isn't it linked to how you get your child benefit? I get one of mine weekly but one of my tax credits is monthly - think it's the WTC.
