child trust fund - stakeholder account

just saw something briefly on bbc news about child trust fund stakeholder accounts in terms of it being long term investment and not to worry about the stock market. but should we?? what do people think, do?? we pay monthly into this account...

I still pay into my 2, i think now is the best time to buy and in 14/15 years when they both receive them i'm hoping things are better

I now a mortgage advisor adn an actury (sp) who've both opted against stake hodler acounts.

Am I the only person not paying in to my childrens accounts for fear that they will just piss it up against the wall like I wuold have done?
