How long did it take from when you contacted them until you heard the outcome?

It took a few months but we were kept informed all along the way. Understandably they are very busy at the moment as there are far more complaints due to the growing numbers of people becoming aware of mis-selling etc.

oh thanks for that. did you get th e outcome you had hoped for?

I have only just started with them a couple of weeks ago and wondered if i am going to wait maybe 3 months, or 6 months or maybe a year or so

Yes! It was for PPI that DH's bank mis-sold him when he took out a loan (he was self-employed). The bank obviously rejected his claim but when we took it to the Ombudsman they upheld it and we (he!) got the whole lot back - just over £4k.

I'd imagine you'll have some sort of outcome within 3 months or so - but they were very good in keeping us updated all along the way. Good luck!

thanks mejon - glad your outcome was good. You are right that they do keep in touch all the way because so far I have had 3 letters and a phone call!
