What is maximum age you can apply for a loan..

Is there one, friends Mum wants to apply she is 69 and owns her own home, good credit record etc.

I was not sure so thought I'd ask.

I don't think there's any specific maximum - but they'd want something to show that her income wasn't going to suddenly drop during the loan. So if she's going to retire at 70 they'd want to know that she'd still be able to afford the payments.

oh she doesnt work, just has her state pension and few other little bits.

Well, if her income is steady, then I think they'd just decide on the basis of whether she can afford the payments. But they might only lend over a shortish period - I don't know what maximum age they aould want to be repaid by.
