Yes its true. DH left an almost brand new laptop on seat of train. We are not covered by Home Insurance. We have reported it relevant train company and to police. Anything else we should do??
I can't believe he has been so stupid and we have been so unlucky. We so cannot afford to lose something so expensive.

My dh has done this more times than i care to think about, it has been returned every time and it has often taken a few days. You may still get it back.

Still no news. Dh assures me none of his info on there for anybody to apply for loan etc but good idea rubyrioja.
Your dh is obviously very lucky catmandu!
Dh is now considering buying same laptop in paper for £100 which I am very sceptical about. It seems too cheap to be believable and I am scared in case it is stolen, has had child porn or something downloaded onto it... I just don't want us to get bitten again. Also got a parking ticket today for £75 and it just feels like everything is against us...

Maybe it's your DH's laptop in the paper?

PortofinoPumpkin · 28/10/2008 20:14

That was my first thought!

No it is an older model apparently and there is 160 miles difference in where he left laptop to here but I know what you mean!
