so if you are remortgaging do it now!!!

i reserved a rate with rbs (as impossible to move) for my buy to let property on friday, but checking today the rate has gone up by 0.45%

i just spent 15 minutes on hold for the mortgage centre confirming the lower rate had been reserved and paperwork en-route... have been advised that rates look to go up again this week!

this is the bank mortgage rate not the BoE base rate which is due to go down this week...

yes, I'm glad I remortgaged to a tracker last month!

am on fixed rate for 3 years, more money than our previous two fixed rates, but by god, am so glad it completed last week, as 500 mortgage products were withdrawn

I am totally stuck as ours is a self cert. mortgage

We can't look at changing our deal until the very end of the month as our fixed rate runs out on Feb 1st.

I fixed in Dec 06 with 5.09% for 5 years, and the property is let, but not buy to let as we are abroad.

I do however remember Black Wednesday when my mortgage rate was 10.8% (and that was good) and the rates i think went up to 18% at one point. This isn't as bad yet.
