i haver a debt ending this month but cant remember when. westcot havent sent any letters to my new address even tho they have it, and i dont want to pay them too much and have to rely on them to credit it back to me. so does anyone have a phone number for them. will be so glad to get rid of this debt at last.

what town, misdee?

its a northern based one i think. hull maybe?

They used to have an office in Wetherby, we used to buy our financial information from them.

i know, they are bloody awful. its my owen fault i defaulted on a loan, but they were gits about accepting payments, werre demanding silly high payments which i couldnt afford, then said i didnt want to pay. took months of me refusing to pay them, and making a weekly offer of payment before they agreed to it. have increased it over the last 18months so i can be rid of them quicker.

I hate this company too, I had my water bill go to them because I forgot to pay it. I owed £300 and they wanted the whole lot at once, when I sais I couldn't pay it they said they wanted £150 a month. I ended up phoning the water board and they said I could pay £12 a week to clear it.

They are terrible employers as well. A friend of mine used to work for them and working conditions were appalling.

I have noticed that all my debts were handed over to them last year (DH was off sick longterm and couldn't afford to pay a lot of bills) Do they have the monoploy!??

I have a letter demanding £234.42 for apparently a £30.00 something pound debt i did not clear with a 3g mobile phone contract 3 years ago. When I asked for a copy of the bill or payments recieved details they said we would settle for £22. I said thats not the point if you can prove i owe the money I will pay it. Next thing I hear is a red letter titled "formal notice" i now owe £234.42 or CCJ! thats not fair! someone please help..... Thanks!

I would go and see the CAB for this, they will give you advice and will get the wolves off your back. All they want is the money, they don't give a shit. The CAB will help you, try not to worry too much, legally they have to make a certain amount of contact before taking someone to court, it doesn't sound like they have done this.
