Is it after midight?

Or 8am or 9am?

Or some random time based on computer stuff?

i think option 3

mumhadenough · 03/10/2008 00:55

I think its just whenever the puter gets round to processing it!

gigglewitch · 03/10/2008 00:57

why does it matter - it will be in by the time any further transactions are processed

mumhadenough · 03/10/2008 01:00

It certainly matters to HBOS! They changed their T&C's recently that your money must now be in the day before anything else comes out.

My dh's wage used to go in the day that my car loan came out, so I never had to leave any money in the bank to cover it. That was until they started charging me £35 a shot because it wasn't in the day before!

Swines!

at that one! I'd be buggered in trouble then, my salary goes in and mortgage goes out, often on the same day

KatyMac · 03/10/2008 08:30

I was just feeling hard done too as 3 lots of people hadn't paid (by 1st) and was looking to see if it's gone in

It hadn't so I was gearing myself up for "difficult conversations" this am - but now it all has gone in

Cash shows instantly - eg if you pay in over the counter you will be able to draw at ATM immediately.

Cheques 5 working days unless drawn on the same branch - then usually shows same day.

Systems update around 2.00 am for automated payments (BACs, etc).

All Terms and conditions say available funds should be in 3.30 day before - to avoid people complaining about charges.

Generally though if you have salary going in and payments going out same day not an issue.

Usually between 2am-3:30am after midnight
