DS1 has mislaid (possibly actually lost) his wallet

No cash or credit cards, but a debit card & his driving licence (poss other stuff too)

Apart from getting new debit card & licence, is there anything he needs to do (can do?) from a fraud prevention point of view?

apart from cancelling debit card immediatly there is not alot that you can do

there is no poimt worrying about things you cant do anything about...

most things where id would relaly matter require at least 2 other forms of ID, like utilty bills and im guessing there were none of these in the wallet...

dont worry about things you cant change is my motto

and even if it was (unlikely IMO) then you arnt liable anyway, its just an extra hassel

but im sure the photo id bit is no use to anyone who doesnt look like your son

he has given away his name and adress... well most people give that away in the phone book / electoral register
