Does my landlord have any obligation...

To replace my vile washing machine that grows mould every day, I literally bleach it off in the morning and it's back in the afternoon.

I have washed lemon juice through several times, my washing smells damp when it comes out and landlord has just told me to was my clothes with bicarb. Surely I am entitled to an appliance that works properly?

TIA

What sort of tenancy do you have? Is it clearly a furnished tenancy?

You may have some rights, but you may also not have a particularly secure tenancy.

A 12 month contract, trying to dig it out, managed by an agent.

It is unfurnished but with white goods.

Why are you talking to the landlord if the property is managed by an agent?

Ewe · 23/09/2008 21:42

I'm not but Landlord has refused to buy it, the letting agent told me, therefore I'm wondering if they have an obligation to replace.

Not necessarily, but to send somebody out to look at it/repair.

Ewe · 23/09/2008 21:53

They've done that, it's irrepairable!
