Can I get one of these and transfer my overdraft to it or are they only for transfers from other credit cards?

Yes, you can - there will be a charge of probably 3% for doing it but over eg 9 months it's probably cheaper than not doing it.

Thanks.. so I order the credit card. This might seem a stupid question but how do I how do I then move the balance over?

Generally they will give you a phone number to ring when you want a balance transfer, you give them the account number & sort code & they will put the money in.

Sometimes they will send you credit card cheques which you fill in like an ordinary cheque, but with a new credit card it's usually a phone number.
