Im having a nightmare of a time trying to find a decent one that doesnt charge the earth. I live in N8.
I want someone who specializes in family law and has is very experienced.
So far Ive been quoted around 450 for an hour incl vat which I can hardly believe. Apparently the charge is 250 and hour then they add on for the letter they type afterwards plus vat.
What a joke.
I only want to ask a few questions. (cant be done over phone) so cant imagine it taking more than 30 mins.

thnkyou

all i can say is stay clear of cramer, middle lane and boulter, park rd.
actually if you can guarantee Danielle Lane deals with you for the whole of your dispute dont touch them.

We had a fab fab chap who did some family law for us and they are v reasonable and do lots of legal aid stuff and suchlike, BUT I can't remember his name for the life of me - I can check at home tonight if you want, or you could call the firm and ask for the names of the family law specialists as I know I would spot him from a list (if you had the courage you could narrow it down by asking for the homosexual one). The company is called Alexander & Partners and is in NW10 so a bit of a way away, but he is very good. tel 0208 961 5146.

brilliant thanks for the replies. Hifi thanks for the warning, already tried Boulter &co, never again! The familylaw associates were the ones charging 450 - not happy about that. Ok, she was a solicitor/part time judge but that is still extortionate.

pinkteddy will check link - thanks

and sqiffy that was v funny. I have no qualms about asking that, as long as its done over the phone...will call them thankyou
