Drawing up our home budgets - what am I forgetting???

trying to get on top of bloody money, as I never feel organised enough....always chasing our tails come payday and I hate it! I hate feeling disorganised!

So what do you do to keep on top of things?

I have a list of all our direct debits and know how much we spend on food and petrol per month (well till it all goes up again I do) and incomings etc so I know roughly what we're looking at

So what expenses am I forgetting to allow for here?

I know I need to allow for the car; service, MOT, Tax....birthdays and Christmas....anything else?

TIA for any thoughts!

herbie thanks - we use pay as you go probably £40 a month between us bloomin' phones

grown up pocket money definitely a hidden cost, take the card and just buy little bits here and there, magazine etc, it all adds up......v v good idea to put it down as a cost and keep to a budget

guys this is so helpful!
