Money saving tips for managing on Universal Credit and child benefit

Hi,
Just looking for some advice.
I’m going to have a period of roughly, 16-17 weeks where I’ll be without any income other than universal credits & child benefits
I think I may have worked out I’ll receive a total of £1800 a month from universal credits & child benefits.
£950 of this will go towards my rent, so will have £850 a month for bills.
Any money saving tips?
Anything I may be entitled too?
Many thanks!

You should be able to get a council tax discount. Check your local authority website.

Your children (in England) are now entitled to free school meals if you receive UC.

Social tariff for internet and phone (on UC).

Ah! Yes I saw something on Turn2Us about a £70 council tax discount. I’m currently paying £170 a month so will help towards that.

My children are home educated so school meals don’t apply to us, but thank you for letting me know.

I think we may already have this social tariff. We pay £15 a month for WiFi & £20 a month for 4 sim only plans.

Use a combination of TopCashback and ever up for supermarket shopping. For example, I ordered my groceries through top cash back (amount varies but often £2.40 cash back per shop) then I pay for it using vouchers purchased on ever up (varies but can be 4.5% cash back). I tend to shop regularly but for the minimum basket charge for free delivery so I can get more cash back through TopCashback by having more eligible shops. It all really adds up. Especially if you save all your cashback for a Christmas shop.
