Recieved a letter this morning saying because my Income support has stopped my housing benifit has also stopped. BUT

My income support hasn't stopped at all. I phoned IS and they said that my benifits are still being paid. Yet the housing benifit dept. seem to think my IS has stopped. I have asked for a letter from IS to take to the council, but this means that my Housing association will be on my back about paying rent. DD1's DLA did stop for a few weeks, which meant the carer's allowence was stopped too, but DLA have decided that she is entitled to it again and the carers allowence will restart too. But the IS hasn't stopped at all. I am really confused and worried...

are they getting you confused with someone else again?

didnt you have problems before regarding HB at your old address and IS?

I don;t know, it seems funny that they did stopped money from me for a debt that wasn't mine..

its very confusing, I know. But the fact is my IS is still being paid, yet the Housing benifit dept. think my IS stopped on the 16th. I wonder if someone has my National insurance number.. could there be 2 people on the same number??

Arrghhh!! recieved a letter today saying my IS will stop on the 16th August, phoned them and they said that because the carer's allowence was stopped on the 23th june that the Income support will stop in august, but hasn't stopped yet.

Because Dd1's DLA wasn't sorted by the renewnal date (even though they had 17 weeks to sort it ) the carers was stopped, the income support will stop and my housing benifit has been stopped!!!!!

I have been on the phone to Carers who are sending a form to sign to get it restarted, and IS said it will start as soon as the carers restarts, spoke to HA and explained that arrears will mount on my account until this is sorted. AND have been on the phone to DLA telling them exactly what I think of them, because they had plenty of time to sort out the renewnal and yet they didn't and have caused a huge problem here. I have to write into complain.

I am so and worried...

carers will get sorted i nabout 4 weeks. then will be before the IS stops. Hb will paid until this date wont it (16th august?). by then the carers wil lahve restarted and the IS will carry on as well. so the Hb wont stop.

housing benifit has been stopped as of the 20th june, even though I am getting IS until 16th aug.
