Hi there an old mumsnetter returning. this is a bit of a long shot but am seeking advice from any legal people or any one who might of had experience.

I have two close friends going through a very nasty seperation at the moment. The mother left the family home with the youngest child to commence a new relationship, the father has stayed with the eldest two who are pre teens. The mother is a little unstable and is taking the father to family law court for reoccupation of the house and residency of all 3 children.lots of false accusations have been made.

What i was hoping to get information on, is how these law courts work, a half hour time slot has been alotted and as far as we have been led to believe a descion will be made. Is this true????

This feels very inadequate to make decsions of this scale and magnitude and very little legal representation has occured.

Can anyone through any light on this??????
