How will a mortgage payment break affect our remortgage options?

Dh was made redundant months ago. We got to the point we couldnt pay the mortgage, spoke to mortgage company and had a 2 month break. I was working but not enough to cover all. Dh now employed. Due to remortgage at end of year and scared how the break has impacted us. Any advice?

The mortgage charter rules mean that a break will not count against you if it’s less than 6 months I believe.

As above, but only if done under the mortgage charter. If you make a private arrangement with your bank then yes it probably would affect your remortgage choices x
