The solicitor has said she has finished the Review and sign off stage. and now she is she noted the mortgage offer doesn't include the gift which she will communicate with the lender and said this could take 2-3 days.

Then she also said to provide the bank statements that has covers her fees - My partner has done this as he is the main contributor - fees were £11k.

She also requested for payslips and my payslips show inconsistencies like change of job - Prior to mortgage acceptance I had a stable job etc - However, I do have answers to any queries and questions as I entered a new role, didn't like it immediately was offered permanent contract employment. I don't have any gaps in employment as it was a job ontop of another job - but I think the payslips over email may have caused confusion which the solicitor may query.

This is the current stage I am at. I really want this to be done and over with !! Do the solicitors also want the same? they take so long to respond! it fills me with anxiety!

How long is the chain? Are they all in the final review stages?

Yes the people buying my house - we have signed the contracts for them and they are ready to move in.

The people we are buying from are almost ready too. These people will go into a temp accomodation like airbnb as they are buying land and rebuilding a house from scratch.

We are all nearing the end.

That’s great - congrats. I’m at a similar stage of the house selling / buying process and I expect to exchange end of this week, early next! Buyers solicitors have been shockingly slow throughout though so who knows.
good luck 🤞🏻

I am exactly the same, we hope to finalise everything by this or early next week - But I am just anxious that my employment may raise queries and questions and elongate the process. Although I am not the sole contributor my spouse is. But I was still included in the affordability checks. His income is 83k and mines is around 22/23k .

Solicitors have to fulfill compliance regulations every step of the way.

This takes time to sort out and understand what’s what from loads of information for the conveyances they’ll be handling simultaneously.

In my recent experience, no chain involved, it took 13 (frustrating! weeks to go to completion.

Phone your conveyancer. Communicate and get some explanations,
