The CS has changed administrator.

I know lots of people are having issues with data not being accurate.
I am seeing my personal details: name address etc; and beneficiary. But no other info.
Could someone tell me where they are seeing their service history? Ie what page is it on.
Thanks.

I haven't been able to sign in at all since they changed administrators. Multiple password resets, endless queue on the phone. It's crap.

lacksomjam · 11/01/2026 23:30

I’ve never seen career history there other than ABS statements showing total years. But agree with skippy67 it’s rubbish since capita took over. Statements not there yet, no modeller, errors.

CoastalCalm · 11/01/2026 23:40

There’s only basic information on there , it took a while for beneficiary data to port over so expect a long wait for anything meaningful - I did have length of service briefly but that data was corrupted and mine said something like 5 years and 23 months

It’s not just you, it’s a disaster. There’s lots of discussion on The Civil Service subreddit, if you use Reddit at all.

Trees6 · 12/01/2026 06:57

It’s shambolic.

Blarn · 12/01/2026 06:58

You've just reminded me that I need to call them as I can't get in. Followed all the instructions but it won't recognise me.

toomuchcrapeverywhere · 12/01/2026 06:59

It’s an utter shit show since Crapita took over. The current advice is not to log in unless you absolutely have to.

toomuchcrapeverywhere · 12/01/2026 07:00

A friend of mine called them and was told “you are number 110 in the queue.” He gave up at that point.

Sarahconnor1 · 12/01/2026 07:03

The service history was incorrect for everyone I know who checked their account. So I think they have removed it from everyones records until they can ensure accuracy.

Its an absolute shambles.

My pension was due to start last month….

just as well I’m not depending on it (I wasn’t in the civil service for very long). But for anyone retiring now for whom it’s the main or a major part of their retirement income it’s a disaster.

Bjorkdidit · 12/01/2026 08:08

I've not even tried, but I agree it's a disaster. In my organisation we were told that the CS pension portal was being switched off a week later and we should download our most recent ABS, which thankfully I already had. Then it changed and we were told it was being closed at the end of that day. Predictably loads of people tried and it crashed (or those who weren't at work that day or were in meetings/site visits etc didn't see the message in time).

This change had disaster written all over it, I remember hearing a podcast in the last few months about the mess that Capita have been making of the Teachers Pension Fund, with retiring teachers being unable to access their pension, people not being able to get accurate information to plan.

The Government keeps talking about how they're going to make the Civil Service more efficient, but what should be one of their priorities is to stop giving private companies huge amounts of money to make an appalling mess of running parts of it (see also anything IT related and travel booking at least).

What a shambles.
I feel sorry for people trying to get their pension paid.
Just reading another forum and as well as some not being paid; others are getting double payments and therefore taxed more, HMRC know it’s wrong but can’t change it as they need the info from Capita.
I was just trying to use it to do some retirement planning so trying to find ABS from previous years. My work didn’t mention grabbing them before the change over.
