I'm sending this one out before I retire to bed, but would love to hear how things are going for self-employed people...what do you do? Have things changed? How worried are you?
I translate. Things have changed in that my client is constantly moving the goal posts, and I have finally stood my ground and refused his proposal (which is tbh a joke).
I'm a bit worried, how much demand is there going to be for translations in the 'era of the credit crunch' - it could go either way. Are you having pressure put on you to cut corners and provide your services at a cheaper rate? (no smutty comments please laydees and gents!)
This is my dilemma. Are there others out facing similar issues? Their crunch is my crunch, which is why I've stood firm. Am now feeling very small and worried and wondering if I've done the right thing?
sorry if a little confusing, am tired and fed up fed up fed up...
